Pat Cannon & her son Jake

Backdrop: Part of a 235 acre parcel in Sloatsburg which Pat helped preserved through the Rockland Co. Open Space Program.

I have served on the Camp Committee for the past two years and have just been re-elected to serve another two years.  I have been Chair of the Selections and Evaluation committee for the past two years.

In October, I was elected to serve on the Executive Committee as the Properties chair.

I have been a member of the ACA for 17 years. I have been a member of the Empire Canoe Club for nine years and my husband currently serves as Empire’s treasurer.  We live near Lake Sebago and frequent camp often.

I am particularly interested in helping the camp find ways to work to keep camp safe and well insured, while also keeping our costs affordable for our members.   As a mother, I would like to develop more activities on and off the water for the children in our camp community.

I am grateful to have the beauty of Lake Sebago and Harriman Park in my family's life.  I welcome the opportunity to give something back to the camp community.

Public Service: In June of 2000, I drafted an application with the Palisades Interstate Park Commission which was submitted to Rockland County's Open Space Program to protect 235 acres on Johnsontown Road.  The parcel is on the border of Harriman Park.  In 2004 the entire acreage was preserved as Rockland County parkland.

Profession:  Artistic Director - The Foot & Fiddle Dance Co.
